There are many types of delay effects, such as tape echo, analog delay, and digital delay, depending on the manufacturer, age, and internal structure. DelayLab has carefully selected and perfectly modeled these historical delay effects of the past. The tape’s distinctive distortion and thick sound, the unique tonal variation of the BBD element, and the lo-fi sound unique to digital circuits due to the low-resolution bit rate are all covered in this collection of historical masterpieces that have captivated guitarists. In addition, many tricky types such as pitch change, panning, and reverse are also available. Furthermore, parameters that were not available on the original model are also provided, so it is not just a modeling of the great machines of the past, but also a new level of expressiveness.

DelayLab also includes a number of original delay effects to inspire guitarists: DUAL DELAY, which allows you to effectively set up two delays; DISTORTION DELAY, which allows you to distort only the delay sound; REVERSE DELAY, which allows you to set the FORWARD/REVERSE mix ratio; and SPACE DELAY, which adds thickness with a string-like tonal effect. The REVERSE DELAY allows you to set the FORWARD/REVERSE mix ratio, and the SPACE DELAY adds depth with a string-like tonal effect. The effects are packed full of expression.

The looper function, which has come into the limelight as a new guitar performance in recent years and for which there are many dedicated units, is also included in DelayLab. Moreover, the looper can not only layer sounds, but also create various effects using reverse playback, triggered playback, and parameter control with the expression pedal. In addition, three types of variations are available with different delay tones that can be used simultaneously with the looper. In addition to the delay effect, you can also set separate L/R DelayTime settings, or attenuate the volume of the pre-recorded phrase each time you overdub, to enhance the newly layered sound, for a performance full of originality.

30 presets of ready-to-use programs that make full use of DelayLab’s built-in delay effects and functions. These programs range from simple and versatile to complex and unique. In addition, there are programs that reproduce the delay sounds of famous guitarists that can be heard on famous historical recordings. These preset programs are rewritable, so users can save their own edited programs.

All delay effects can be simply controlled with five knobs, allowing you to create complex delay sounds with sensible operation. All parameters can also be assigned to expression pedals, allowing you to make real-time adjustments at your feet to create even more complex effects.

DelayLab includes a number of studio-quality, high-spec functions, including 24-bit, 48 kHz sound quality. It also features a seamless bypass/program change function for smooth switching during bypass and program change, a “SYNC” mode for easy setting of complex polyrhythmic effects, and a “kill dry” function that does not output any direct sound. The “KILL DRY” function, which outputs no direct sound at all, and many other convenient features. All of these features are just as good as high-end equipment, and are sure to satisfy even the most demanding guitarists in terms of sound quality.
