The Tascam GS-30 is said to be the world’s first amp simulator, and with no cabinet simulator and only one type of amp to simulate, its simple design means you will never get lost in complicated operations.

Since it was released in the 1980s, the GS-30 does not have simple sound quality or a wide range of sound makeup, but the good comp and overtones when the DRIVE is turned up to a crunchy level are a good match for today’s scene.

The lo-fi feel that is unique to this model is difficult to reproduce with modern equipment, making it an interesting unit to consider how to use.

The high gain setting produces a rough tone, so it is recommended to use the low gain setting.
